Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the “Roadmap for Solid-state Battery Technology for Vehicles” (draft for comment), stating that by 2025, China will achieve mass production and application of solid-state batteries for vehicles. This roadmap clarifies the technical route, safety standards, performance indicators, and industrialization path of solid-state batteries for vehicles. Additionally, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also released the “Safety Requirements for High-voltage Packs for Vehicles” (draft for comment) and the “Safety Testing Methods for High-voltage Packs for Vehicles” (draft for comment), setting clear requirements for the safety performance of high-voltage packs for vehicles. Furthermore, the Ministry revised the “Safety Testing Methods for High-voltage Packs for Vehicles” (draft for comment). These standards aim to enhance the safety of solid-state batteries for vehicles and promote their industrialization.
