Recently, Angus Breeding Cattle Co., Ltd. from China Agricultural University invested in the construction of a modern breeding cattle farm in Sunwu County, Heilongjiang Province. The company introduced high-quality breeding cattle from around the world and, through scientific breeding techniques, developed excellent breeds adapted to China’s climate. This project will drive the development of local agricultural industries and inject new momentum into rural revitalization.
On September 4, reporters from the Technology Daily followed the 2026 “Vibrant China Research Tour” theme interview activity in Heilongjiang Province, visiting the Heizun Niu Wan Tou Angus High-End Beef Cattle Breeding and Raising Ranch in Sunwu County, Heihe City. Sunwu is located in the global golden beef cattle breeding zone at 49° north latitude. Thanks to its cold-climate resources, the Angus beef cattle industry has taken root and grown here. Wu Xiaoyun, brand director of Heizun Niu (Heilongjiang) Industry Management Group, explained that a batch of Angus breeding cattle traveled across the ocean for 16 days from Australia to Huanghua Port in Tianjin. After completing quarantine, they were officially settled in Sunwu County.
