On September 8, 2026, IT Home reported that Ubisoft and Sega did not join Microsoft’s “physical disc to digital version” initiative. This initiative was made available to Xbox Insider users on August 31, allowing players to use digital versions while retaining physical discs. However, player tests revealed that when playing games from Ubisoft or Sega, the system indicated “digital license unavailable”. Currently, neither company has responded to this issue, and it is speculated that they may participate in the initiative in the future.
