In the first half of 2026, global shipments of XR headsets reached 1.9 million units, a decrease of 38.7% year-over-year. The proportion of XR glasses in shipments increased to 25.8%, but due to the small base, it failed to offset the significant decline in headset shipments. The market has been shrinking for four consecutive years. Meta remains the leader, but its share dropped from 71.3% to 48.2%. North America is the largest market (43.9%), followed by Western Europe (23.8%), and Greater China rose to third place (16.3%).
