VisCAD: A Foundation Model Suite with Multimodal Industrial CAD Intelligence

On September 7, 2026, VisCAD released a basic model suite for industrial computer-aided design (CAD) multimodal intelligence. Its core component, VisCAD-M1, is a 27B-parameter model trained and fine-tuned to solve challenges such as mapping user intentions into executable programs in CAD domain-specific languages and handling assembly-level generation. In the PubCADBench and RealCADBench benchmarks, VisCAD-M1 achieved the highest partial-level score among evaluation models, with an average score of 0.5540, outperforming the strongest state-of-the-art model’s score of 0.5496; if used as a test-time verifier, the score could be further improved to 0.5797, a relative improvement of about 5% compared to the previous state-of-the-art. Additionally, the suite includes a domain-specific toolset that utilizes state-of-the-art models to handle complex assembly generation, demonstrating advantages over general toolsets in both quantitative and qualitative evaluations.
